Live Sound & Studio Recording

As a sound engineer, my approach to both live sound and studio recording is rooted in a commitment to delivering clear, precise, and analog-rich sound that authentically captures the essence of each genre. I focus on enhancing the natural qualities of the music, ensuring that every note and nuance is faithfully represented.

Whether in a live setting or in the studio, I strive to create a sonic experience that is true to the artist's vision, emphasizing clarity and precision to bring out the unique character of each performance. My work is driven by a dedication to authenticity and a deep respect for the integrity of the sound.

No crazy EQs, No unnecessary compression and most importantly maintaining volume levels to optimise the experience for both performer and listener.

Field Recording, Sound Design & Audio Branding

Throughout my audio production course I chose to specify myself in sound design and game audio. I was attracted by 2 things in this domain. first of all the capacity to define a personality, character or energy  of a specific object time or place entirely through is something that really fascinates me. Secondly the idea creating your own sound bank to personalise the experience the same way an artist would build up their own sample database.

My journey to build my own sample library has already led me to some incredible places, from the English countryside to the cloud forests of Costa Rica. There, I worked on a research project recording vocalisations to analyse primate behaviour and habitat wellbeing. Although the nature of the work in Costa Rica was confidential, limiting what I can share, many of the samples I captured with my trusty handheld recorder still make their way into my music productions and game audio experiments.

Experimenting with game audio

The following 2 videos include extracts from games I designed in where different post production techniques are used in order to guide the player from a to b with eventually the use of only their ears.
